We are celebrating the 237th Birthday of the US Navy on October 13th, 2012, by hosting a 5K Run/Walk on Hollywood Beach Broadwalk to benefit our Sea Cadet Unit & Wounded Warrior Project. We expect 100% participation from Cadets, Parents and Staff. If you haven't run a 5K lately, now is the time to start training! This is the Workout Program that Larry Kastner and Mike Brooks recommend: "Couch Potato to 5k" http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml This program has been used by many to prep for events such as this and the reviews are excellent! There is an App for smart phones and printable charts to guide us through this process. Remember this...... "Progress, NOT Perfection"! A little work for 20-30 min three times a week will set you up for success!
Larry has volunteered to discuss diet & nutrition and further conditioning for those that desire to improve their physical, mental, and even spiritual condition. Remember this, no one can do this for you, only you can.
